With a rich history going back millennia, Cadiz is one of Andalucia’s most vibrant yet underrated cities with a charming almost-island old centre, originally fortified, the city is much less touristy than other regional capitals, with wonderful beaches and seafood. Cádiz is the oldest city in western civilization as well as the launching point for the adventures of Christopher Columbus in the New World. Home of the University of Cadiz, the city has historic landmarks, a wonderful Old City, medieval walls, incredible plazas, and some of Spain’s most beautiful beaches.

Castillo San Sebastian
Castillo San Sebastian is magnificent, historic fortress, linked to the sea by a tidal causeway, featured in the James Bond film Die Another Day.
Seafront Promenades & Gardens
Enjoy the lovely Mediterranean scenery of Cádiz while strolling along the palm-fringed seafront promenades found north of the Plaza de España facing the Atlantic coast. These elegant promenades are pleasantly landscaped and offer lovely sea views. The picturesque Alameda de Apodaca is a wide, terraced promenade lined with leafy palms and old-fashioned street lamps.
Cadiz Cathedral
Cadiz Cathedral, also known in Spanish as Catedral Nueva (“New Cathedral”) was built in the 18th century in the High Baroque style. Cadiz is located in the sunny region of Andalusia in southern Spain
